National Resilience Program 2023 Award

If your organization, or your client’s organization, has suffered significantly from the impact of an incident or crisis and have successfully recovered, demonstrating resilience. then the Judges would be pleased to receive an application in this category.

The Judges will be looking at how effective Business Continuity Management Systems, crisis recovery, effective communication emergency response, disaster management and recovery have contributed to its overall resilience. Judges will assess the effectiveness of these arrangements based on the quality of the planning and response and the enhanced resilience level achieved as a result.

Evidence should be provided on how effective the organization’s business continuity management system, Certification/accreditation, system arrangements, Emergency Response, and Crisis management were in surviving the disruption and indeed the effectiveness of testing and exercising, where the organization must demonstrate what lessons were learned during the process and how those lessons will be used to continuously improve and enhance ongoing resilience within the organization.

Judges will be looking for:

  1. Demonstrate up-to-date Business Continuity Management Systems and their effectiveness.
  2. Evidence of crisis management and effective recovery based on outcome.
  3. Quality of planning and response that led to the effective recovery.
  4. How effective were the organization(s) in testing and exercising business continuity arrangements?
  5. Lessons learnt for continual improvement and enhanced resilience.
  6. The organization must have maintained an effective arrangement and system for more than 3 years or more and within the last 12 months from the date of the application.
  7. Demonstration of resilience ‘bounce back’ from the impact of an incident or crisis within the last 2 years.
