With more than 27 years’ experience out of which 20 years in leadership position in engineering, maintenance, operation, project management, as well as in strategic planning, performance management, risk management, business continuity management, portfolio management, human resources, and IT. In addition, hands on experience in master community, co-owner association management, sustainability, and environment. Also, experience in management of Education and Social activities and entities. Flourished by working in QatarEnergy, the Office of Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser and currently holds the position of Executive Director Public Services at United Development Company.
He is also a member of the Board of Trustees and General Director of the Al-Faisal Without Borders Foundation for Charitable Works since 2011 and member and secretary of the Board of Directors of the Gulf Qatari Classic Cars Association since 2014.
Mr. Al-Yafei established Enterprise Risk Management System and Business Continuity Management System in Qatar Energy between 2011 to 2014. He was among the team who established BCI Qatar Forum during 2014 and became the Chairperson of BCI Qatar Forum between 2015 to 2021. He chaired BCI ME Conference 2015 and Business Continuity and Resilience conferences in 2017 and 2018. Also, he received “Continuity and Resilience Industry Personality 2018 Award for the Middle East” by The Business Continuity Institute (BCI). Abdullatif is very instrumental and made tremendous contribution towards the recognition of Business Continuity and Resilience among all sectors in Qatar.
Mr. Al-Yafei holds a master’s degree in business administration for Executives from the University of Hull, UK, as well as a master’s degree in philosophy in Business Administration from Nottingham Trent University, UK. He completed his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (Control Systems) from Louisiana State University, USA.
