Eng. Abdul Rahman Ali Ahmed Al- Naama is the Advisor to the President since 2019 and currently overseeing and leading the BCMS and Enterprise Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) system. He joined Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) in 2001 as Senior Water Quality Specialist and had hold various key responsibilities including HSE Manager till 2019. He supervised the environmental impacts study resulting from Kahramaa’s operations in electricity transmission and distribution stations.
He started his career with QatarEnergy in 1985 as Technical Engineer with NGL in Mesaieed. He moved from industry to education and worked with Qatar University’s Scientific and Applied Research Center (SARC) and Ministry of Education till 2001.
He was also the member of the Environmental Emissions Committee in the electricity sector in the Arab countries. (Under the umbrella of the Arab League).
