Abdus Salam is an experienced leader in the Business Continuity Management (BCM) field for more than 20 years. He is currently heading the BCM department at Qatar Islamic Bank since 2012, where he has provided excellent leadership. Prior to that, he worked as the Asia Pacific Regional Head of BCM for Symantec Software. Abdus has been recognized for his outstanding achievements, winning the BCI Professional of the Year Award consecutively in 2017 and 2018 for the Middle East region, and also the BCI Professional of the Year Award for the State of Qatar. He also won the BCM and Risk Management

award at the GCC Security Symposium, He was one of the Global 200 CIOs finalists from 49 countries, also won a Global Award for BCM and Risk Management and was crowned the Champion at the CIO World Moto Challenge at the Global CIO Forum held in Baku in 2023.

He is a multipotentialite and a versatile person with keen interests in biking and drag racing. In his free time, Abdus enjoys riding different range of motorbikes such as Harley’s and Kawasaki H2, which is known for being the fastest street legal bike in the world.
