Faruk Azad is an inspirational leader with extensive experience in business transformation, change management, digital technology, operational excellence, and product marketing. He currently oversees various Digital Transformation Projects at Hamad Medical Corporation, aiming to enhance the company’s efficiency in the digital age as Assistant Executive Director of Business Development.
Faruk’s expertise spans management across marketing, IT, and regulatory units. Notable achievements include creating Ooredoo Group’s roaming Passport, the award-winning Ooredoo Sports App using innovative Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence Algorithms, in partnership with Microsoft and leading the development of the world’s first Virtual Telecom Store.
He is known for being analytical, focused, caring, and results-driven. Faruk has played significant roles in Qatar’s sports sector, including involvement with the Qatar Olympic Committee
and a coveted position in the office of Her Highness, Sheikha Moza bint Nasser.
Furthermore, Faruk is an active philanthropist and a global citizen. He holds a BBA in International Business and Management from Stenden University, Netherlands, where he received the Best Student Award. He also earned a diploma in International Leadership Management from ILM, UK, and holds a graduate degree in International Emergency & Disaster Management from Georgetown University. Faruk proudly serves as the President of Stenden University Qatar’s Alumni Association, member of Industry Advisory Board and is a Georgetown Ambassador.
